Coming later this Summer, we're expecting to launch a brand-new look for the IAMI web site! While we always received very positive comments on the current green, nature-look theme - we thought it was time for a change.

So, for Summer, we'll be bringing out a new look. There may be some brief downtime on the site while we make the changeover, but we'll keep everyone up-to-date on the web site - and let you know about any changes to the current update schedule.

    Hello Everyone,

We are preparing for a major system upgrade to the IAMI site on June 7th. This upgrade will add new features (both behind the scenes and for members), as well as a new look. Please note that there will likely be some brief periods of downtime (and some clutter) as the server administrators and the design team work through the upgrade process. We will post more details as they become available.

In advance of the site upgrades, we will also be making some changes to how our Instructor Member listings appear in the online directory. During this process, active member listings may temporarily become unavailable. If you are trying to verify individual membership of an instructor - and are unable to locate the individual's listing within our directory - please e-mail us for assistance: admin@meditationinstructor.com

    Hello to all,

We'd like  to take a moment to thank all of our members and donors for a great 2013. This past year has been one of very positive growth for the IAMI - and as our numbers grow, we look forward to reaching out to our members in a variety of new ways in the coming year.

As 2014 approaches, we've been very busy working on a collection of new meditation-related media, new teaching resources, and new teaching partnerships around the world.

Our aim with the IAMI website through the remainder of 2013 - and into 2014 - is to work to continue to expand the information provided on the site, as well as to work in conjunction with our partners and other associated sites to build an even better meditation resource. We will also be bringing other web sites into our network (details soon) as a way to help continue to spread the word about the benefits of regular meditation practice and mindfulness.

On behalf of IAMI Admin - and all our Advisory Board Members, THANK YOU for your continued support.

    Hello Everyone!

    Happy New Year to ALL!

Just a quick note to let you know that the newly updated 2013 Membership Graphics will soon be available from the IAMI Association web site.

We are also happy to announce that Radioasis Studios (an affiliated media production company) has notified us about several new test-audio tracks that will be made available to IAMI members later in January. These are special 20-minute meditation tracks that have been designed as a supplement to your regular practice. Radioasis expects to provide three of these test tracks to our members for review by the end of January. More details will be provided upon release.

Ito, Japan --- While filming continues through November 6th, we have been able to send a couple of short sample clips of the Oct. 28th kids' class back to the studio in the Northeast US. They managed to assemble a brief 1:30 test sequence before the Hurricane arrived.

You can view the test sequence here:

We'll have much more to share with you when the footage is returned from Japan in a couple of weeks.

The C.MI. Program will be in Japan later this week (Oct. 25 to Nov. 8th) filming a series of location, background and interview segments for several new mindfulness meditation programs (and a documentary). While all program release dates have not yet been set, some segments are expected to be available beginning in the first quarter of 2013.

The Japanese segment of the filming will include interviews with Rinzai Zen Monks at two separate locations. We will meet with IAMI Advisory Board Member, Shinkai Riko Kondo, of Kokorono Sato Zen Center (Ito Prefecture). While there, we will be conducting an interview segment - and will also have the chance to cover her Children's Meditation program (with which we are partnering on an upcoming add-on certification).

Another important interview is scheduled with 84-year-old Senior Zen Nun, Tenshin Shyunin, who oversees major Tokugawa-line Temple, Jyo Rin An, in Tokyo. She has an amazing biography that we look forward to sharing in the documentary. Her teachings will also contribute to an advanced meditation certification program we expect to have available later next year.

We do plan on making some of the interview transcripts available (either in whole or in part) to C.MI. students, graduates and Level-2 / Level-3 IAMI Instructor Members as they become available --- and we may even have some production video previews (and behind the scenes footage) available to share with you later in November.

C.MI. Director, IAMI Advisory Board Member, (and BBI Media Director and Producer), Stephen Rinaldi, stated on Wednesday --- "The second-half of 2012 saw the addition of our newly expanded in-house media production facilities for both BBI Media and Radioasis Studios. We're very excited to be able to include such a exiting collection of Mindfulness Meditation projects as some of the first releases from this new facility. Our new capabilities allow for a great expansion of audio / film and multimedia projects over the coming year - and I'm very happy to be able to devote so much of our resources and focus toward spreading the great benefits of Meditation Practice worldwide."
